LABOUR LONDON ASSEMBLY MEMBERS IN BURNT OAK

Labour’s London Assembly Labour Group came to Burnt Oak on  Tuesday 26th July, 2pm Burnt Oak tube, to campaign with Andrew Dismore, Labour’s London Assembly candidate for Barnet and Camden, on the issue of policing cuts.

Mr Dismore said:

“ I am very pleased that Labour’s  London Assembly members are coming to Burnt Oak to campaign with me against cuts in policing. After the very worrying increase in knife attacks in the area, we need to inform people about what the Conservative led Coalition and London Mayor are up to, with cuts to come In London by 2014, of 1,907 fewer Metropolitan Police officers and 820 fewer PCSOs.

On average every London borough like Barnet and Camden will each lose over 50 police officers, including some of the most experienced, on top of the 9 sergeants already to go from our Safer Neighbourhood Teams.

It is a disgrace that Barnet and Camden’s Conservative London Assembly member has not written to the Met. once, to protest about the SNT cuts. He is put to shame by the Labour Assembly members who clearly are very concerned about the Tory policing cuts”.
