Coleman fails to question Jubilee line closures

Andrew Dismore, Labour’s candidate for the London Assembly for Barnet and Camden has used the Freedom of Information Act to establish that Brian Coleman, the sitting Conservative Assembly Member, has made no written representations to Transport for London concerning the Jubilee line since he was last elected in 2008, (FoI response attached), including the series of line closures of has been very disruptive and the continual poor performance of the Jubilee Line.
He has only written once: to thank TfL for a briefing a year ago which he left early!
Mr Dismore said:
“ I do not think anyone should be surprised by this lack of involvement by the Conservative GLA member. After all, this is not the only issue on which he has not made written representations: police cuts, housing pressures, strategic public transport issues, are all the same: not worthy of a single letter from the GLA member on behalf of his constituents.
Yet again Mr. Coleman has shown himself to be either disinterested or just too busy to represent his constituency’s interests. Barnet and Camden deserve better: we need a GLA member who will stand up for local people and not ignore their concerns. “
