Dismore hands HS2 protesters letter to Mayor

Labour London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden Andrew Dismore met with Camden residents and campaigners against High Speed 2 (HS2) at City Hall today. Mr Dismore was presented with a mural, a letter and an invitation to a film screening on HS2, and was asked to pass them on to the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

Mr Dismore said:

‘Residents are not happy that trees and green spaces are being lost at a time of increased air pollution and illegally toxic air. This is also happening before any integrated plan for bringing the high-speed lines to Euston has been done, or a plan for the proper integration of the station whilst different works are completed.

‘I have passed the concerns of residents on to Sadiq for him to consider. I know he has met with residents and that tacking poor air quality is a priority for him, as is preservation of green spaces.’
