Dismore congratulates Camden Council on Cultural Impact Award

Camden Council has been awarded a Cultural Impact Award of £250,000, as part of the London Borough of Culture competition. The award will fund the Council’s digital storytelling project.

Andrew Dismore, London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden said:

‘Although Camden missed out on the winning spots, it has been great to see local councillors, businesses and residents receive a Cultural Impact Award as recognition for all of the hard work and enthusiasm they have put into the bid, and receive a pot of funding to go towards a bespoke local project.

‘This competition has truly brought the community together and highlighted the amount of talent and creativity we have in our local area. Camden Council have a leadership that is ambitious for the borough, proud of it and want to do even more to promote arts provision. Contrast this with the other borough I represent, Barnet, which is led by a tired, out of ideas, unambitious Conservative administration, who didn’t even bother to submit a bid.’
