Khan awards Clitterhouse Farm £18k for community garden

Cricklewood group ‘Our Yard’ have been awarded £18,500 to transform an area of disused land next to Clitterhouse Farm into a thriving community garden by the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan. The project is part of a wider regeneration of the farm site, and will include planting trees and raised beds, making the site safe and accessible for community use.

Labour London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden Andrew Dismore welcomed the news, saying:

‘Unlike the Barnet Conservatives, who will leave Cricklewood as a building site for the next decade, local residents know that Sadiq Khan is serious about investing in green spaces and the environment. Instead of leaving residents to deal with dust, noise pollution and traffic, the Mayor is trying hard to help existing residents enjoy their lives and have access to high quality green spaces.’

Local resident Lisa Pate said:

‘The local community will be really pleased with this news. They feel completely neglected by the Council, and anything to improve green spaces here will be welcomed.’
