A41 Finchley Road/College Crescent – Broken Traffic Signals
Please see the below update from TfL:
- “Our engineers are working to urgently resolve the ongoing traffic signal failure in Swiss Cottage. They have established that the traffic signal controller cannot be repaired, and work has now started to replace it. This is a complex undertaking, and it is likely to be several days before the traffic lights are restored to full working order. We are working with our contractors to get a more precise timescale for the works as soon as possible”
- “We have traffic management in place to safely slow down traffic on the approach to the junction and to prevent conflicting movements. Temporary traffic signals will be installed to ensure pedestrian safety, and staff are on site to direct traffic to assist safer pedestrian movement. The northbound movement into College Crescent and the right turn from Finchley Road northbound into Avenue Road have been closed for safety reasons. They will remain closed until the signal repair work has been completed”
- “There are currently some delays to traffic in the area and we will continue to closely monitor this”
