Dismore condemns Chase Farm decision

Andrew Dismore, Labour London assembly candidate for Barnet and Camden said:
“This is another Conservative breach of faith with local residents, David Cameron and Andrew Lansley fought the last election on clear commitments to keep Chase Farm open and to listen to the views of local people. They said there would be no top down reorganisations. They said their priority could be summed up in the word “NHS”.
The Chase Farm decision is not just a blow to the local community and to those who campaigned so hard, it is a forerunner of things to come under the Conservatives and for the NHS.
The Health and Social Care Bill now going through Parliament will cause even more disruption and devastation as private profit becomes the driving force in the NHS. Patients are already suffering from cuts and waiting times and lists are lengthening.
I have prepared a full briefing on the Bill available on my website”.
