We did it! Andrew Dismore’s Victory speech at Alexandra Palace
If you voted for me, I am grateful for the honour you have given me to serve you on the GLA. And whether or not you voted for me, I will serve you to the best of my ability. I will be an Assembly Member for all those who live or work in both the two boroughs and will do the best I can to ensure your voice is heard in City Hall.
The margin by which I won was a very welcome surprise to me and to many others, too. The majority over the defeated Assembly member Brian Coleman was over 21,000 votes, with a swing to me of over 12%
