Andrew Dismore welcomes Olympic Torch to Barnet

Labour London Assembly Member Andrew Dismore will join local residents in welcoming the Olympic Torch to Barnet on 25th July. The torch will enter Barnet near Hendon Town Hall, first passing Hendon Labour Party’s office and then pass by Middlesex University, Church End Library, Victoria Park, the artsdepot and Friary Park before heading off to Enfield.

The Olympic Torch was lit in Greece and entered the UKon 18th May 2012 it will pass through more than 1,000 cities, towns and villages across the UK with over 8,000 torchbearers.

Local London Assembly Member Andrew Dismore said:

“It is fantastic that the torch is coming to Barnet and passing by some of the most unique institutions that the borough has to offer. I hope as many people as possible will join me at the relay. I am especially excited about Barnet’s torchbearers – after reading their stories, they are all deserving of this honour.”
