Dismore demands answers from Mayor Johnson over Emirates sponsorship deal
Andrew Dismore Labour Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden, has today written to Mayor Boris Johnson, over the Emirates cable car sponsorship deal, And in particular the discriminatory terms which exclude any involvement of Israeli companies, businesses or nationals from the cable car operation.
Mr Dismore said:
“How on earth did Boris Johnson approve a contract like this? It is clearly discriminatory, and also undermines the ability of TfL to involve some of the best high tech companies in the world from the cable car operation.
Boris Johnson is being two faced. On the one hand he wants to lead a delegation to Israel to promote business links yet on the other, he is signing deals which exclude Israel companies.
He clearly has a lot of questions to answer.
This contract must be renegotiated, as apart from being discriminatory, it is also unlawful on the face of it”.
