Forthcoming inquiries at City Hall: have you any questions?

MayorsQuestionTime

I am writing about a couple of issues, on which I need your help and on which you may be able to contribute.

The Environment Committee at City Hall, of which I am a member, is holding  an inquiry into biodiversity in London. As part of the inquiry, we are conducting a survey of Londoners. If you would like to contribute your views, please do so by clicking here.

Next, the Health Committee is holding a hearing next week, into the preparedness of London’s hospitals for the winter, especially emergency services and A and E. If you or a friend or relative has recent experience of using our local A and Es, I would very much like to hear from you, to help inform my questioning of the NHS managers when they appear before us.

In October, the Mayor and Transport Commissioner Peter Hendy are due to appear before the full London Assembly to answer questions about London Transport. If you have any experiences or points you would like raised, please let me  know as soon as possible. I am particularly keen to hear about current experiences of the Northern Line, on which I expect to focus, and experiences with the buses.

And finally for Barnet residents, if you have a resident’s parking permit, you will be aware the High Court has ordered the Council to refund residents to the extent they have been overcharged. The Council has refused Labour’s request to properly publicise how to claim a refund, so the details are here, if you wish to do so.
