Independent website rates Dismore ‘high’ and ‘very high’ and Offord ‘low’, in responding to email

Independent website https://www.writetothem.com/stats/2005/mps has surveyed MPs’ responses to email correspondence from constituents, sent through their website.

For the 4 years that Andrew Dismore was surveyed when he was MP for Hendon, Mr Dismore  was consistently rated as either ‘very high’ or ‘high’ in the timely service he offered to constituents  in replying  to their emails.

In contrast, current  Conservative MP  Mr. Offord is rated as ‘low’ and well towards the ‘relegation zone’  of this MPs’ league table.

Andrew Dismore, Labour London Assembly member and parliamentary candidate for Hendon  said:

“This independent review confirms what many Hendon residents have told me about their experiences when they write to Mr Offord..

“What makes it even worse, is that he had far fewer emails to deal with in the first place during his survey period, than I had.

“He only had 180 emails and dealt  in a timely fashion with just 37 out of 94; the survey of my last year’s monitored performance shows I received 266 emails, and dealt with 86 out of 122 in a timely way. My email postbag can be seen consistently to have been amongst the highest generally, too.

“Hendon needs and deserves an MP who will deal with residents efficiently  and promptly, not one who fails  to do so, as this survey shows is the case with Mr Offord.

“If I am elected at the General Election next year, I will respond as efficiently to correspondence  as I  did when I was MP before.”
