Sadiq Khan boosts Gospel Oak with £1.2 million town centre funding
The mayor of London Sadiq Khan has announced that Gospel Oak has been awarded £1.2 million for a range of high street improvement works to better serve the community through public realm improvements, intensification of existing workspace and support for the existing market.
The Mayor’s “Good Growth Fund” aims to deliver social and economic improvements including investment in community assets, workspaces, green infrastructure and cultural venues.
The investment was welcomed by Labour London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden Andrew Dismore, who said:
‘There seems to be good news for Camden all the time from Sadiq Khan, and this is yet another investment he is making in the borough. The Mayor is making a bold effort to strengthen neighbourhoods and make them attractive places to live and work. This is real money that people can see will make a difference in their lives.’
