Thomas Coram Centre to receive Air Quality Audit
In response to the Mayor’s announcement that the Thomas Coram Centre in Camden will receive an air quality audit to monitor indoor and outdoor levels of air pollution, local London Assembly Member Andrew Dismore AM, said:
“It is shocking that due to the dangerous levels of toxic air across the capital, there are children in our community at serious risk of growing up with stunted lungs.
“Many children are facing long-term consequences to their respiratory health and we are already seeing thousands of Londoners dying prematurely each year, attributable to air pollution.
“These audits will help in identifying the ways that we can tackle poor air quality inside and outside of the classroom and ensure that the health of some of the most vulnerable children, and the next generation of Londoners, is protected”.
