Update from TfL on 383 extension to Finchley Memorial Hospital
“I am writing to update you on progress on our proposal to extend bus route 383 from its current terminus at Woodside Park station to Finchley Memorial Hospital.
“We have been working closely with the NHS Trust over the summer on detailed plans to ensure the bus can operate within the hospital car park safely and conveniently for customers and to provide appropriate bus stop facilities.
“We are pleased to confirm that this work has now been successfully completed and the extension will begin operating from Saturday 31 October. We hope that this will make some inroads into long held aspirations to improve bus links to the hospital. The 383 will continue to operate at its usual service of two buses per hour from 06.00 to 20.00 from Monday to Saturday.
“As mentioned previously, the extension is initially being run on a trial basis, with the intention to conduct a formal consultation on whether or not the service should be retained in a few months’ time.
“In the meantime, we hope that this will be a welcome development and that patients, staff and visitors to the hospital will find this helpful.”
