Dismore questions Hendon Hub consultation process
Labour London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden Andrew Dismore has questioned the process Barnet Council are using to consult residents over their scheme for Hendon. Dozens of residents have written to Councillors calling on the consultation to be extended from the current six-week period to the usual 12 weeks, and to complain about being unable to participate in meetings.
Mr Dismore said:
‘I have been a strong supporter of Middlesex University for many years, but I think Barnet Council have handled the consultation very badly. They must give residents the change to have their say in good time, and undertake real engagement. I have also tried to make some positive recommendations about the scheme to preserve Hendon’s heritage and green spaces.’
