Letter to Whittington Hospital about winter pressures and LAS
Dear Simon,
The news that the LAS has been put into special measures raises concerns that we will have a repeat of last winter’s problems in Camden and in Barnet, which has the worst ambulance response times in London.
A contributory factor is ambulances backing up when there are delays in admissions to A&E at the Whittington, which as you know hit the worst waiting times on record last winter.
This is a serious concern for my constituents.
I would be grateful if you could let me know what measures you are taking to avoid a repeat of last winter’s difficulties.
