In his election materials, the Conservative Mayoral candidate boasts of his connections with Government. However, one can only doubt this claim, as he clearly has no influence even over  lowly Conservative Barnet Council. He credits himself with getting 30 minutes free shoppers’ parking in his borough- but we still don’t  have this in Barnet, blocked by the Conservatives’ assembly candidate, despite the long running campaign by the ‘Times’ Group  backed by shoppers, shopkeepers and  Barnet Labour. Barnet Conservatives do not give two hoots for local people- and it would seem they don’t for their own Mayoral candidate either.
